robert report: the shimmer 411

Ok, we need to have a serious conversation! I need to make something very clear!

Whenever you add shimmer to your skin (I am not talking about eye shadow here, I am talking about powder, blush, and bronzer), it will accentuate all the texture in your skin!

So to be 1000% clear: if you have large pores, acne scars, or wrinkles and you use a powder with shimmer in it to set your foundation it will accentuate all that texture and draw attention to it. NOT your friend unless you’re young and flawless!

If you use a shimmer highlight powder and you have large pores, acne scars, or wrinkles, it will accentuate all that texture and draw attention to it. So when using one, you have to make sure you are careful where you apply it!

If you use a bronzer with shimmer in it and you have large pores, acne scars, or wrinkles, it will accentuate all that texture and draw attention to it. Also, if your bronzer has shimmer in it you CANNOT contour with it!

If you use blush with a high shimmer to it and you have large pores or acne scars it will accentuate all that textrue and draw attention to it.

Basically…THE “MATTE-ER” THE SKIN, THE MORE FLAWLESS IT WILL APPEAR!

Let me clarify: I am NOT saying “NEVER” on shimmer…I am simply saying be clear on when it when it will benefit you!

One more thing: in the above photo, the skin has a glow to it, but no shimmer was added to the skin. In fact, her skin is totally powdered and matte. The glow you see is all in the highlighting and contouring technique, which I teach in the Robert Jones Beauty Academy!

Live, love, and be beautiful! That will definitely give you a glow!

Infinitely yours,
